Itinerary

If you are travelling to Bali I recommend you don’t just head for a beach resort. You can visit Ubud and the smaller outer islands such as Lombok or Java. This wonderful holiday idea offers the visitor one of the best experiences in Indonesia. The best weather in Bali is during our summer.

Stay for 2 nights at COMO Uma Ubud - an oasis of calm situated in the uplands of Bali, a centre of traditional crafts and dance

Followed by a fantastic 7 night sailing on the Star Clipper on a full board basis in a Category 6 cabin (upgrades available) to explore the REAL Bali and other parts of Indonesia

On arrival back to Bali, enjoy a real chill-out at the beautiful Belmond Jimbaran Puri, staying for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis – situated in Jimbaran Bay, Bali’s best beach

LOCATION
COMO Uma Ubud is a peaceful hideaway on the outskirts of Ubud, set amongst dense vegetation and offering scenic views across the steep valley. The resort's contemporary luxury mixed with local design and materials gives it a distinct Balinese feel. The narrow paths that wind between the rooms and suites and their tropical gardens give Uma Ubud an intimate local village feel yet beneath the alang-alang thatched roofs are stylish, contemporary
villas, some with infinity edge pools and stunning Tjampuhan valley views.
The resort offers a complimentary shuttle service into Ubud, which is a short drive, for all guests to enjoy the restaurants, galleries, temples, shops and atmosphere of this wonderful town.

ACCOMMODATION
Highlights of the rooms include the chic uncluttered interiors, sleek black and white bathrooms and abundance of natural light. Suites have the addition of sitting rooms, dining rooms and the Pool Suites have a wonderful plunge pool with views over the jungle.
There are 46 rooms and villas in total at Uma Ubud. The 14 bright Terrace Rooms have voile draped four-poster beds and large private terraces. The 10 Garden Rooms have open-air bathrooms and a comfortable terrace with fish pond that connects them to the bedroom. The Uma Suite has a separate sitting room, dining room and bedroom and a private terrace with sweeping views. The three Pool Suites have the addition of a plunge pool with jungle views. The Como Suite has even more space with a spa treatment area, infinity pool and spacious sundeck. All rooms and suites have Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, Egyptian cotton linen, phone, flat screen satellite TV, DVD player and library, safe, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, yoga mat and hairdryer.
CUISINE
Meals centre on local, fresh produce at the Uma Ubud's open air restaurant 'Kemiri'. Here Asian and Balinese dishes are served as well as healthy COMO Shambhala cuisine. At the cool Pool Bar you can kick back with cocktail or you can choose to dine in the comfort and privacy of your own room.
WELLBEING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
COMO Uma Ubud has a strong focus on health and wellbeing and the COMO Shambhala Spa, well established in many of the COMO Group's properties, offers an excellent array of treatments and classes. The spa makes use of natural ingredients, with the therapies drawing on Bali's traditional medicine and ancient beauty rituals. Star Clipper - an Informal Cruise & Experience Cruising Under Sail 

The tall sleek Star Clippers are a recreation of the elegant 19th century clipper ships, offering guests the romance of a tall ship without sacrificing comfort. There is extensive deck space for sunbathing, plunge pools, intimate piano lounge, relaxed open seating dining and complimentary water sports equipment. Star Clippers often call at ports out of reach to larger ships. It is a relaxing, informal type of cruise, offering a sense of adventure but still providing everything a guest might need.

DESCRIPTION OF PORTS
Saturday - Benoa - Bali, Indonesia

Benoa is the main cruise port on the island of Bali. There are numerous places that can be accessed from here including the party-centric Kuta, Nusa Dua the popular beach resort with its luxury hotels and restaurants as well as coffee plantations and rice terraces. Trips to temples, palaces, markets and a bat cave are some of the many things also on offer.
Sunday At Sea
Monday - East Madura / Giligenteng Island, Indonesia
To the south of Madura lies a small island, Giligenteng, a community of four peaceful little fishing villages, where everybody knows each other. The authentic fishing village of Bringsang consists of one small street, a mosque and a few local shops. The beach here is really beautiful with clear water and pristine white sand.
Tuesday - Probolinggo - Java, Indonesia
Probolinggo is a port town whose main activity is fishing. It is also the nearest town of any size to the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park on the east coast of Java, and a stopping point on the way to the Gunung Bromo volcano.
Wednesday - Lovina Beach - Bali, Indonesia
North of Bali, the Lovina tourist area stretches over 12 km and consists of a string of coastal villages: Kaliasem, Kalibukbuk, Anturan, Tukad Mungga, collectively know as Lovina. Lovina’s sandy beaches are quite lovely, the sea is very calm here and safe for swimming.
Thursday - Lombok, Indonesia
Sengiggi is Lombok's traditional tourist resort with a large bay forming the centre of the resort. A spectacular sunset can be viewed from Segiggi Beach; the bright orange sun sinks into the ocean with Bali's Mt. Agung volcano silhouetted on the horizon.
Friday - Gili Sudak - Lombok, Indonesia
This is the perfect island getaway, a small resort with fine white sand, colourful tropical fish and starfish. From here the ship’s zodiac can take you to Gili Kadiz, a great snorkelling site.

This beachfront hotel is situated on the southern tip of the island of Bali and is set on the beautiful pristine white sandy beaches of Jimbaran Bay. Nearby, are some nice local places to eat or a short taxi ride to Seminyak for endless upscale bar and restaurant choices.

Individual detached Beach View Pool Villas are closest to the beach with views of Jimbaran Bay and the resort's gardens. Each has a private plunge pool, a patio, a furnished terrace and features traditional Balinese design created from timber and marble with high ceilings and open beam thatched roofs. Villas are larger than cottage suites and offer a separate sitting area. Amenities include a private walled garden, indoor and outdoor showers, a larger bathroom with a floor-to-ceiling window, a sunken terrazzo marble bathtub, a shower with hand-held and fixed rain showerheads and dual wash basins. Added amenities include complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, a widescreen LED HDTV, DVD player, air-conditioning, a personal safe and a mini-bar.
AMENITIES
The hotel boasts a large infinity pool as well as sun beds on the beach, or if you want to really relax in the tranquil environment choose to have a beachside massage in one of the beach bales, listening to the peaceful sound of the waves at The Beach Spa.
WHAT TO DO
Head out in the morning to the local markets to choose your Balinese lunch, then learn how to cook it from one of the highly trained chefs or take a Yoga or Tai Chi class in the most beautiful tropical surroundings.
CUISINE
Throughout the day enjoy the convenience of snacking by the pool or on your daybed, with light meals and a selection of drinks and cocktails available at the Puri Bar. Luxury Pool Villas also benefit from the in-villa dining, and butler service. For others, the Nelayan Restaurant on the beachfront, is the perfect place to end your day, tucking into fresh local fish or meditation inspired dishes, with a combination of western and Indonesian techniques and flavours.
